  5. I woke up to a beautiful blanket of white outside!!! I just love how the tree branches are outlined with fluffy white. This amount of snow is perfect! I hope it stays for Christmas! I have some shopping to do today and later wrapping and drinking Chai tea. I love the smell of Chai with the cinnamon and nutmeg...mmmmm. Have a great day everyone.

  6. Phew...the world didn't end! I have done too much for Christmas for it all to be for naught! Today is my shortbread baking day, and then start cleaning the house for our first Christmas celebration at our house on the 23rd with my step kids and their spouses. Now if I could just shake this miserable cold, I'd be all set!

  7. It was so nice getting together with my art friends yesterday. It will be a new year when I see most of them again. We will be getting together to hang our paintings at Sunnybrook Hospital which is very close to my heart because I have a vision impairment and that's where my doctor is. Her assistant, and herself encouraged me to atart painting again after many years in spite of my vision impairment. I will also be painting a ceiling tile to donate to the hospital. I'm very excited about this. This is the first opportunity our group has had to display at the hospital and it will be a great way to start the new year.
I hope everyone has something to look forward to in the new year.
    Happy holidays everyone!

  9. Merry Christmas Everyone! The house is very quickly becoming decorated for Christmas & I have just a couple more items to bake & a few gifts to wrap. Youngest son is safely home from university, hurray & am planning the menu for the oldest son's birthday dinner on Sunday.Kyle turns 24, so the creative Mom has just found 24 different beer bottles to put candles in down the middle of the table. What a center piece it'll be. Cheers to all the wonderful ladies at SGD. Have a wonderful Christmas & the best for 2013. Deb

  14. I love that first stamp set! So cute!
We still don't have a tree up. :( They were all sold out, and we haven't decided if we are going to put up the artificial one or just buy a small one now.
