Spring is in the air!

Happy Friday! Spring is in the air....but then we woke up to snow this morning, ugh! We should all start making Spring cards so winter knows it's time to go,lol!
Today I made a card with pink, green and flowers, when my inspiration is missing, I usually go to these 3 things. Sentiment is from Paper Smooches, punches from Martha Stewart, and some Nestabilities.
I made the flowers by using the flower making tool kit, so much fun. You can use punches, dies and even your Silhouette, lots of possibilities.
                                         Till next time, Anja

Open Scroll Butterfly PLUS Twelve Hour Sale!!!!!

HI! Vicki here, with a couple shares using Impression Obsessions

In the first card, I popped it onto the cardstock just as is, after colouring up this gorgeous flower from the Maya Clear Set. I'm sure if you love it, Sheila could get it in for you. It's also from Impression Obsession Stamps.
The sentiment on both cards is from this set as well.

For this card, I used the negative portion of my die, to sponge in the orange colour using Yellow and Orange Ink.  I then attached the die over the orange sponged background, creating my Monarch Butterfly. To add some dimension in behind the sentiment and to carry the orange theme in another part of the card, I stamped the border with a stamp called Hand Carved Elements by Balzer Designs, also from Impression Obsession!

PLUS!!!!!!!!!

Our Famous 12 Hour Special is on!
Enjoy saving of 20 - 50% on oodles of fabulous products, only while supplies last!!  Our 12 Hour Special gallery is loaded with crazy deals waiting for you!  Sold on a first come basis both in-store and on-line.

Fresh Brewed by Tim Holtz

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I am showing the card that we will be making for our next Wonderful Wednesday. I used the new die from Tim Holtz called Fresh Brewed. Love this die, actually anything designed by Tim Holtz I love. I thought this would make a rest male card for father's day, birthday or just because. A little birdie told me that the ladies would like to do a gate fold card, well this is one version of that type of card. I stamped a coffee stain in the inside of the card, I thought that would just add to the card. This stamp was from BoBunny but the new Coffee Stain from Prima would work. The paper line is from Prima called Coffee Break of course. This is where my inspiration started. I did add a button to the corner of the cup, this is to keep the flap shut but you don't have to especially if you were going to mail this card.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Kim

Enjoy life!

Happy Friday! Spring is here.....and some new dies, lol! Sharing with you a card made with a Penny Black stamp and some stunning dies. I started with a piece of watercolour paper and made it wet, then I scribbeld some of my distress markers on an acrylic block and used lots of water to put some colour on. It will dry a lot lighter so don't be afraid to put some colour on, this is not hard to do at all, use a lot of water and let the colours flow. When it was dry, I scribbeld some faded jeans on, sprayed some water on it and put some splatters on. After it was all dry, I stamped the sentiment and the flowers. The butterflies are done with a Martha Stewart punch. The black piece is one of the dies and behind it, I put on a white folded card, about 5 inches long and 3 inches wide, so it is a real card. Hope you like it!
                                           Till next time, Anja

Winner! Winner! Scrappin' Great Deals Mood Board Challenge Winner!

Wow did you see all of the fabulous entries for last month's mood board! Check them out on our pinterest board! Found here!

Drum roll please.....

Our winner this month is Shelly S!

This mood board gave me a real "winter meets spring" feel with the cool wintery tones of purple and blue, and the sparkly tree, and the warm spring tones of the clock and the forest, and the butterfly on the pillow. My card uses the same cool colours in my paper choices, and the warm tones in the hanging elements and stickles on the butterfly. I have a hint of snowflakes, but the butterfly of spring. The hanging keys over the couch inspired my hanging elements, which to me look like they could be either snowflakes or flowers, or a little of both!

Shelly please contact me lynnshaffer7@live.ca for your prize and details for next month!

SGD MOOD BOARD REVEAL

Hello crafty friends,

Today we have a special guest designer Laura and it is the reveal of the March Mood Board! Hope you will join us, be inspired and play!

(All images were located from pinterest)

Here is a little something about our guest designer and her fabulous layout!

I live in the Laurentians in Quebec, with my hubby, 2 twin teen sons , and a 5 year princess., with our fur baby, Thunder, our black Lab.
I began scrapbooking when my sons were toddlers, almost 14 years ago. I wanted to preserve the moments, good and bad, and not just with pictures. My family is definitely my source of inspiration---can you blame me?? never a dull moment around here!!
I enjoy crafting. It relaxes me, makes me smile, can also drive me crazy, when you have an idea and it doesn't come out correctly on paper, you know?? I love paper. I pet paper. Oh please! you know I am not the only one! :)

That is it in an nutshell! I love scrapbooking 12x12 pages, that is my preference, but I have dabbled in all sizes. I have started Project Life, my way, this year. It is coming along alright. Still have to get the hang of it.lol

Here is Laura's take on the mood board.

Laura was inspired by the flowers on the mood board and all these beautiful flowers were hand cut by Laura! Please make sure to stop and leave her some love on her blog. Laura's blog.

Thank you so much for joining us Laura! Love your fabulous creation!

And here is what the Diva's created this month!

Trish

When I saw the images of the Mood Board the first thing I thought of was The Graphic 45 Once Upon A Springtime Collection that was used in the one photo, it's one of my favorites, so I used some of the papers from the collection in my card!! Combined with the other photos it made me think of the start of spring. It is a magical time of year when everything is beginning again, renewing from the ice and cold of winter to a rainbow of colors and smells! What could be more magical than that! So I created a card where looking out a window you can see the fairies dancing and rejoicing with the beginning of spring!! The Queen of the Fairies is greeting and announcing the "News of Spring" with her magical wand!! I hope you like my creation! I hope that you have as much fun as I did!

I adore Trish's take on the challenge!

Lynn

I love the colors of the mood board, especially the blue. The flowers and butterflies made me think of blossoming spring. As I was going through some pictures found this one of my daughter whom had actually written "S loves mommy" and created a family picture. She was only 4 in this picture and could not believe how she was blossoming.

Lori

Lori was inspired by the flowers and the vibrant colors. (Wow can you believe the talent! There are no words)

last but not least we have our own ....

Scrappin' Sheila.

Love this fabulous design! So many creative elements to this fabulous layout.  Sheila was inspired by the bright lively feel of the board.

ScrappinGreatDeals on the Road

Good Morning Everyone,

Yesterday Lori and I took SGD on the Road. There are a lot of places that don't have the luxury  of having a scrap booking/craft store near them, so we thought why not go to them. So yesterday morning we headed off to Calendonia.
We were invited by the GrandStampers  to come out to their March meeting. This group gets together once a month and so they invited us out to make cards. They are a fun group to  work with.  Lori and I had a great time. I think the ladies had a great time too.

Thanks again GrandStampers for having us.
Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Gelatos and Penny Black!

Happy Friday! Oh my, my MOJO has left me.....and I hope it will return quickly....
It has happened before, usually it's a great time to give my craft room a good clean up and I find the best solution is to go SHOPPING, lol! Thankfully at SGD you can do that, 24 hours a day!
Then I find wonderful things, I can see things in my mind...but sometimes it takes a while.
This is one of my cards...some, new to me, Penny Black stamps and a gelato background. THe ferns are from the set Enjoy Life and the birds from Nature's friend.
Not sure, if I really like it but I can feel it bubbling.
                                    Till next time, Anja

Think Spring!

Think Spring
Think SPRING
THINK SPRING!!!

I have been Thinking Spring for weeks now, but to no avail! It's still so darn cold here!

The saving grace is the Sunlight! At least it's light when I go to work in the morning and come home in the evening! I am hopeful that the weather is going to get warmer soon! so I'll

THINK SPRING!!!!

I did see Bunny tracks when I was walking Sydney the other morning, but I can't wait to see the Bunnies nibbling on the tendrils of sweet spring grass!

I used quite a few dies on my card, including the new Mini Bunnies Die

Here's the list and Links for the rest

I added a little bit of Liquid Applique to make the Bunny Tails fluffly and Some  Viva Pearl pen to the middle of the blossoms!

I have included LInks to the Dies that Sheila has in Stock. I'm sure if you like any of the others, she would be happy to order them for you!

Happy Stamping!

Sunny Hello

Good Morning Everyone,

Thought I would make a sunny card today. I used a Penny Black stamp called Sunny Hello. Thought this would make a sunny card.  I used a masking technique to colour each of the flowers. I found using Versafine black ink worked the best to stamp the image. You can use your copic markers, derwent pencils, distress inks, distress markers and any other inks you have to colour your flowers.  I masked around each of the flowers so I didn't get ink in between the flowers.
I used the Happy Birthday die from Penny Black collection "Celebrate". I found using the Stick it product help glue down the words. For the centre of the flowers I used Glass Glitter from Prima. It gives that extra little sparkle.

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Now is the time to sort through your supplies to make room for the new! It's time to Fall clean your craft area with SGD's amazing Customer Garage Sale!!!

SGD's is once again hosting our incredibly popular customer garage sale for new and/or used scrapbooking, cardmaking and stamping products. So gather up your goodies, read the rules below, stop by the store, and purchase your boxes to receive your vendor number today! Registration to be a Vendor must be completed prior to March 22. The cost to participate is $8 per banker's box or $5 per space if you are using your own BANKER’s sized box (to be fair to all Vendors, random sized boxes are not allowed). If you were a Vendor last year and wish to retain your Vendor number, please contact us asap as spots will go quickly!

How it works .... As a registered Vendor, you will be assigned a vendor number and are responsible to label each item clearly with your vendor number and item price. You set your own pricing. It is the Vendor's responsibility to ensure each sticker (with price/vendor #) is securely adhered to each item. Remember, a lot of people may handle your item, so make sure your Vendor #'s and pricing stickers are secure. You also have the option of choosing a Sunday discount of 25% or 50% off of the items remaining in your boxes. We will not disclose until Sunday morning which vendors have chosen this option - this is a fabulous way to seriously empty your boxes!!

Examples are cutting tools, working punches, stamps, cardstock, patterned papers, paper packs, embellishments, ribbons, scrapbooking idea books, flowers, storage, etc. No markers, pens, or ink pads are allowed unless they are still in their factory-sealed packaging. Papers that have matching embellishments in the same lot, can be packaged as a kit in a plastic bag and do not have to meet the minimum of 10 sheets. One large item that will not fit in a box (ie: storage unit, crop bag) per person will be allowed. Boxes may be dropped off at SGD's beginning Tuesday, March 24 at 10am until Friday, March 27 at 6pm. We do not have space to store boxes prior to this date.

As a Vendor, you do not have to be present on the days of the sale. SGD's will fully staff the sale and track your proceeds for you!
